How to Hard Reset an iPhone 6
A hard reset, also known as a factory reset, can be a useful troubleshooting step for a variety of iPhone 6 issues. It will wipe all of the data from your phone, so it's important to back up your data before proceeding.
Before You Begin
* Back up your iPhone to iCloud or iTunes.
* Make sure your iPhone is turned off.
To Hard Reset an iPhone 6:
1. Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Down button simultaneously.
2. Keep holding both buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
3. Release both buttons.
4. The iPhone will now enter Recovery Mode.
5. Connect the iPhone to a computer using a USB cable.
6. Open iTunes on the computer.
7. iTunes will detect the iPhone in Recovery Mode and prompt you to restore or update the device.
8. Click Restore.
Important Notes:
* A hard reset will erase all of the data from your iPhone, including apps, settings, and media.
* If your iPhone is locked with a passcode, you will need to enter the passcode before you can hard reset it.
* If you have Find my iPhone enabled, you will need to disable it before you can hard reset your iPhone.
